Ref and ex.
AM Radio’s installation, “Refuge and Expansion,” is closing. Today I took my first three pictures in any of his sims before the closing celebration. The sim wasn’t empty, but empty enough to feel like I did the first time I went.
AM’s sims were the first I was TPed to by the first friend I made in Second Life. Thousands of pictures exist on flickr and Koinup, and these are my first three.
I can’t begin to describe how I feel in his sims. I’m not afraid or embarassed about it, either. I’m not bandwagoning, not following a trend. I simply feel connected.
Being in these places changed the way I felt about Second Life, about gaming in general. I believe in Second Life as a medium. I believe AM Radio is an artist. I believe AM Radio truly inspires me to be one, too.
