My initial offerings for Pose Fair 2010 which is running for a couple of weeks. Two 5-pose packs, half the proceeds going to the Motivation charity, one that helps move people that have trouble moving. Another 5-pose pack with 100% in sales going towards the same cause.

Architecture In Helsinki - Do The Whirlwind (Hot Chip Remix)

I’m Fine Caliber, and my job here at Uncover is keeping you considerate of others while we all pile into the same sim. To do this, I use my ARC as a guide and go for unscripted items or items with removable scripts.

Over the next few posts, I’ll show you how I stay “in the green” without compromising style. The above outfit is around 750 ARC with 32 scripts, 26 of them irremovable in the shoes. If I port into a busy sim, the first to go are my lashes. Those alone will save me 150 ARC.

The outfit below is 640 with a script count of 5. This is my go-to outfit folder. It’s because of the ROT boots: three prims a piece and an option to change the quality of the texture, aiding you in reducing lag for yourself and everybody else.

It’s “do unto others” and all that, but, really, it’s peace of mind in knowing your outfit will rez-in faster than everybody else’s.

We were all set to log and go to bed when the latest Ordinary Design flyer dropped on us. Fueled by the newness and vastness of customization possibilities, Damfunk and I ported and purchased immediately.

While Ordinary Design’s shading had dissuaded me from blogging them in the past, this shoe for me is definitely a necessity. They’re closer in design and proportion to Creative Recreatons, so there’s room for them in your inventory alongside your UBU Drunks. Anyway it has perforated leather, so it is an automatic buy.

Nothing profound. Just some good shoes.

Things were kind of tumultuous this past month. I guess it goes hand-in-hand with the holiday season. I changed my skin set and opened up December with a serious shopping spree.

Leaving Takako behind was a big step for me and just as refreshing as a makeover. It came with insecurities: wearing my hair over my face, big accessories to bring the point of focus Southwards. Ended up finding a new favorite hair and necklace.

Summer Camp - Ghost Train

So today was my rezday on paper, but I have a secret… I’m actually still less than a year old. Was required to get an SL account by a professor that held his office hours in-world. Set it and forget it for about two years before I find out Gossip Girl was doing some promotion thing via Second Life.

That’s right. I would have been a GossipGirl. Thankfully, I had Fine still attached to my current email address. For a few months I milled around, RPing in one area. Had to do a lot of catching-up. Make my avi match my rez date.

I had my new favorite hair from Exile and my new favorite pair of sunglasses from Shade Throne on when I got the notice for my new favorite dress at Madsy.

I wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about having to fit them to the pant layer or looking forward to my AO breaking the line with every step or stand. I had dealt with hollowed out cylinders and the flexi, curvy prims; I just got comfortable with adjusting sculpted pieces some skirts use. This time around I got two halved, solid cylinders colored black on the bottom.

I was still intent on loving the outfit, but I had to fix it first. Included in the folder are two shoulder prims without the studs. I rezzed them, faced them towards each other, linked, and wore on pelvis. They look a little bit better, and they have a finished-looking hem.

The second solution was provided by my friend, Ju, who also hates skirt attachments. She made a sculpt map that can be applied to one of the skirt prims so you can keep the original texture.
